The number of Mondays through Fridays depends on the month's length and starting weekday. Count the specific month rather than assuming twenty or twenty-two.

Apply local rules

Subtract public holidays that fall on working days, plus leave and organization-wide closures. Locations differ in both holidays and normal workweeks.

Plan with capacity

A working day is not necessarily a fully productive day. Meetings, support work and uncertainty should be included in capacity estimates.
